Cameron’s practice includes all aspects of state and federal litigation in commercial
litigation, with an emphasis on the preparation of appellate briefs and oral advocacy in
appellate proceedings. He also assists in pretrial and trial strategy, preservation of error
at trial, preparation of and arguing jury charges, post-verdict proceedings in trial courts,
and analysis of the trial record for appellate potential. Cameron has represented clients
in state and federal appellate courts such as the U.S. Courts of Appeal for the Third, Fifth
and Tenth Circuits, the Supreme Court of Texas and many intermediate courts of appeal.
Cameron has a significant amount of experience in oil and gas disputes, toxic tort
litigation, labor and employment, as well as a particular focus in disputes involving
employee benefits, managed care and ERISA.
REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE
Appellate counsel for benefit plan administrator in putative class action over medical
benefits. The United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit affirmed judgment for
clients. (2014)
Obtained $8.4 million judgment on behalf of a managed care company in federal
court to recover payments made to a hospital and free standing emergency clinics
based upon fraudulent misrepresentations regarding the nature of their affiliation.

Successfully handled appeal, including oral argument, in Drexel Corp. v. Edgewood
Development, Ltd., 417 S.W.3d 672 (Tex. App.—Houston [14th Dist.] 2013, no pet.).
Represented a managed care company in state and federal courts to recover
payments made to a hospital and free standing emergency clinics. Confidential
settlement on favorable terms. (2013)
Appellate counsel for bank in dispute over $5 million customer alleged should have
been deposited in his account. The trial court dismissed the suit sua sponte and, after
full briefing, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit affirmed. (2012)
Counsel for benefit plan administrator sued by plan sponsor. The trial court denied
administrator's motion to compel arbitration. After oral argument, the Corpus
Christie-Edinburg Court of Appeals reversed and rendered judgment in client's favor
compelling the matter to arbitration. (2012)
Appellate counsel for trustee sued for breach of fiduciary duty. After oral argument,
the Texarkana Court of Appeals reversed $2.7 million jury verdict and rendered
judgment for client. (2012)

violations of the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act. After oral argument, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth
Circuit affirmed judgment for clients. (2011)
Appellate counsel for medical school and physician in dispute over application of statutory provisions concerning their
status for immunity purposes when providing care to the indigent. After oral argument, the Texas Supreme Court issued
unanimous judgment in favor of clients. (2010)
Appellate counsel for trailer manufacturer found liable for conversion of products. After oral argument, the San Antonio
