Business Excellence STAR Recognitions – 2015: Large Organization Background: CII has been evangelizing the adoption of Excellence frameworks in the Indian Industry for over 2 decades. In order to recognize Excellence in specific functions having high maturity practices, CII-IQ is bringing out a platform to showcase such Organizations through this initiative. Objective: Recognizing Organizations for Excellence in People, Customer & Operations Management with high maturity practices Recognition Levels: All Participants crossing the threshold scores (Decided by CII-IQ) are eligible for the recognitions Highest scoring Organizations get recognitions for and Themes on the Awards Nite The 2nd & 3rd Runner up get recognized as Emerging Leaders in the respective categories and Themes on the Awards Nite All other participating Organizations get recognized as Promising Practitioners in the respective categories and Themes on the Awards Nite BE STAR RECOGNITIONS -2015 Leadership in the respective categories Guideline Document 1 Recognitions of the Different Categories will be announced on 5th November 2015 on the Award Nite at the National Quality Summit, the flagship event of CII-Institute of Quality. Process and Recognitions Process Details: Recognitions Receipt of Filled in Application and Self Assessment Questionnaire* at CII-Award Secretariate on or before 31 August Assign Assessment Team (2 Assessors) Onsite Assessment (2 Days) Leader (Category wise) Feedback Presentation to the Applicant Emerging Leader (Category wise) Promising Practitioner (Category wise) Final Report to CII Award Secretariate by Assessment Team Announcement of Recognitions (National Quality Summit) *Note: Please Refer the Self Assessment Questionnaire for broad topics in each theme Assessment Criteria Assessment is done to understand the maturity level of Practices and associated results of the function, broadly covered in the Self Assessment Questionnaire of the respective theme. Scoring will be done on a 500 Point scale, with 250 Points each for Practices and Results. The assessment will be done based on the guidelines of RADAR-EFQM Excellence 2013 for Enablers and Results. BE STAR RECOGNITIONS -2015 Guideline Document 2 How to Apply Last date for the filled in Application along with fee to CII-IQ BE Secretariate is 31 August 2015 (Details: Contact n.deep@cii.in 98453 53135). The filled up Self Assessment questionnaire of the theme applied for can be sent in either hard / Soft copy. CII–IQ BE Secretariate will assign an experienced 2 member assessor team and communicate to the applicant within two weeks from the date of receipt of application for finalizing mutually acceptable dates with the site visit dates concluding before Oct 20th 2015. Applicant to make a presentation at site covering the overview of the Organisation, History, Products / Services, Customers, Employee strength, Technologies, Production/ Service Processes along with results in the areas as under. Assessors will walk the associated process of the theme applied for and the results. Concerned Stakeholder interactions may also be planned by the Assessors to validate their findings. The Assessors will also share their feedback with the Applicant on Day 2 on the areas of strengths and areas of Improvement. * Kindly note that the Assessors will take the filled in self assessment Questionnare of the applicant as an input but will arrive at their own findings and scores. Assessor findings and scoring will be final. *While the parameters listed may not be exhaustive, it may be noted that these are generic in nature. In case of any Industry / Sector using a different metric, they can communicate the same to the Assessment team. Also, the indicators listed are minimal. Organizations are free to showcase all relevant parameters beyond the listed minimum. Assessment Duration: Two Days at the Organisation by two Assessors including, Process walk through, Data verification, Interactions with the respective stakeholders* *the actual number of days and team size can vary depending on the size and complexity of the Applicant organisations Assessment Feedback: o Feedback Presentation covering Key Strengths and Key Opportunities for Improvement on the theme being assessed will be provided by the team BE STAR RECOGNITIONS -2015 Guideline Document 3 Post Assessment Support: o CII Supports the Organisation on Implementation of the Action plan for scaling further heights in the Excellence Journey. This service can be availed through mutually agreed terms and conditions between Organisation and CII. Application Fee: Assessment fee in INR based on Turnover (Fee per theme) o 100-499 Crores (INR) : 1,00,000 (INR) + Applicable Taxes o 500-999 Crores (INR) : 1,50,000 (INR) + Applicable Taxes o Above 1000 Crores (INR) : 2,00,000 (INR) + Applicable Taxes Payment can be made through NEFT/ RTGS, for which necessary details will be provided by CII on request. Alternatively, Cheques / Drafts can also be made in favour of “CII Institute of Quality”, payable at Bangalore, Other Terms & Conditions: o Applicant to bear the cost of economy Air travel (e mail e tickets) along with arranging the Assessor accommodation in a 4 star hotel / equivalent guest house if applicable. Outstation local travel if any incurred, to be reimbursed to the Assessors directly. All bills including boarding and lodging to be settled directly by the Applicant.
