The Department of Consumer Science is seeking a tenure track assistant professor
or tenured associate professor of selling and sales management to teach and do
research in this growing area. The selling program has been one of the largest and
strongest programs in the US. We take pride in providing an innovative enriching
educational experience. Our faculty engages in a wide variety of professional
development and scholarly activities. A willingness to teach hybrid or fully online
courses is important. We are interested in high impact research and teaching and
we are dedicated to undergraduate student, graduate student, and faculty success.
Earned doctorate (ABD may apply) in sales/selling, retailing, consumer behavior,
retail management, human ecology, marketing, communication, sociology,
psychology,(or related discipline) , with an expertise or experience in selling/sales.
Applicants would be expected to display potential for research excellence and have a
clearly articulated research program. Previous teaching experience is desirable.
Industry exposure is important. Grant writing/getting experience are a plus.
