Backup/Export A RamCT Blackboard Course
After you have added a certain amount of content to your RamCT Blackboard course, we
recommend that you occasionally backup/export a copy of your course.

Create A Backup File
Under Course Management, under Control Panel, click on Packages and
Utilities.
Click Export/Archive Course.
Click Export.

You will see the course ID of the
course that will be exported.
You do not need to calculate the
package size.
Select Course Materials
Place a check next all of the items you would like to include in your export. We recommend that
you check everything on the list.
Click Submit.
Your export will be
processed by the RamCT
Blackboard server.

You will receive an email message when the export is
complete.
Download Your Backup File
Back under Control Panel, under Packages and Utilities, click on Export/Archive Course.
You will see your back up file.
Click on your backup file.
When prompted, select Save File.
Click OK.
File Name: You can rename the file to something that
has meaning for you.
Click Save.
This will save a copy of your exported backup file on your local computer.

Delete Backup File From Your RamCT Blackboard Course
After you have saved a copy of your exported course to your local computer, delete the backup
file from your RamCT Blackboard course.
In the Export/Archive Course window,
click on the drop down menu next to
the name of the export/backup file.
Click Delete.
Click OK.
