I have tested and used several numerical schemes for time propagation of the time-dependent Schrödinger equation and interested in development of more efficient propagation schemes. Lately, I have been working on problems which involve Rydberg atoms. I have been interested in investigating atomic processes in Rydberg atoms, such as Rydberg-Rydberg interaction, electronimpact ionization, and cascade/excitation/ionization in static external fields in Rydberg atoms. I am also interested in manipulation of Rydberg atoms and wave packets via time dependent external fields, such as microwaves. Recently, I have started to work on problems involving interactions of atoms with strong laser fields and a variety of rich and interesting phenomena that result from such interactions. Partcularly, I am interested in high-order harmonic generation from atoms and molecules and effects of propagation in macroscopic media that effect the high-harmonic sprectra. I am a proficient and experienced programmer in C/C++ (7 yrs) and have developed all the codes that were used in my research from scratch. I also have a working knowledge of IDL. I have experiencing in programming and running codes on parallel machines, and on smaller clusters. I have programmed and run parallel TDCC codes at NERSC and at the Beowulf cluster of College of Science and Mathematics at Auburn University.
