Quality
The company is certified ISO 9001 for its quality management, ISO 14001 for its environmental management
endeavors, as well as OHSAS 18001, an international standard for Occupational Health and
safety management.
Exosun was the first solar tracker design and supply company worldwide in 2015 to earn this triple
certification for its entire business, covering the design of its trackers, as well as the engineering, installation,
training, operation, and maintenance of ground-mounted solar plants.

Trackers are increasingly selected as the solution of choice for ground-mounted PV plants in sunny regions.
Trackers have become attractive, as prices have fallen rapidly in recent years: thanks to improved design, they
have become more reliable and costs have been significantly reduced. They are now considered in the industry
as a go-to method to achieve better energy harvest and accelerate return on investment.
In a recent report, research institute IHS, published the below figures regarding the
growth of the
single-axis tracker market:

 The US is expected to be the largest global
market for single-axis trackers in 2019,
accounting for 36% of all global installations.

Company History

2007: Exosun wins the French national ‘company creation support’ contest which aims to help innovative
French companies in their development.

2008: French pioneer and market leader, Exosun designs, develops and builds the first photovoltaic plant in
France equipped with solar trackers for the French utility company EDF.

2014: Exosun initiates its first (37 MW) project in the USA (San Bernardino County, CA).

2015: Exosun signs a first tracker supply contract with Forza Systems, in Mexico. This pilot project is the first
step to a multi-year master agreement between both companies.

2015: Exosun is selected by EDF Energies Nouvelles for solar tracker supply on one of the largest solar plants
in Chile.

2016: Exosun signs a contract with Phoenix Solar to equip the largest photovoltaic project in the private
sector in Jordan

Solar trackers: functioning and benefits
A solar tracker is a motorized structure that orients photovoltaic panels toward the sun. Its primary benefit is to
collect solar energy for as long as possible throughout the day, and with the most accurate alignment as the
sun's position shifts with the seasons, thereby considerably increasing the electricity production of solar panels.

Annual energy gain through single-axis tracking (project in Arizona): +20.8%
Trackers can support three types of photovoltaic modules:


“Classic” photovoltaic (PV) modules allowing to produce electricity.
Concentrated photovoltaic (CPV) modules, using a smaller cell surface for improved energy efficiency.

Concentrated solar thermal (CSP) modules enabling to produce heat by focusing the sun’s rays on
thermal sensors.

The Exotrack® HZ is a horizontal single-axis solar tracker which is
adaptable to all ground-mounted utility-scale PV projects. It
