HKU Past Examination Papers
WHAT IS EXAMBASE?
Exambase is a database that gives fast and easy access to the past examination papers of
the University of Hong Kong. It contains examination papers from faculties of
Architecture, Arts, Education, Engineering, Science, Social Sciences, and School of
business. The examination papers include:

Faculty of Medicine from 1961-Present
Faculty of Law from 1971-Present
Faculty of Dentistry from 1984-Present
All other faculties from 1985-Present
HOW TO ACCESS EXAMBASE?

Go to HKU Libraries Homepage at http://lib.hku.hk.
Click on HKUL Digital Initiatives.
Click on ExamBase.
HOW TO SEARCH IN EXAMBASE?
Method 1 : Search by paper title or course code

Enter the paper title. (If you enter by course code, click the bullet button
against Course Code and then enter the course code.)
Specify the limit options, if necessary (Limit options include date, semester,
paper type: Regular/ Supplementary)
Click on the Search button.
Click on the paper title (in red) to retrieve the exam paper online. (Note:
The result list is arranged in reverse chronological order.)
Method 2 : Browse by course code, department or degree

Click on Browse by Course Code / Browse by Department / Browse by
Degree on the left hand side of the screen.
Click on a letter to display a list of course codes beginning with that
letter, or the department or degree programme.
Click on the course code or paper title to display the list of exam papers.
Click on the paper title (in red) to retrieve the exam papers online.
