Rayed Khan ITP 104 Patrick Dent Wee Airlines Project Proposal Mission: Over the past few years, I’ve created a creature I call the Wee (see above). I’ve put these Wees in different environments and situations for my own artistic pursuits. With my website, I am creating and marketing a new airline targeting the Wees and their travel aspirations. Audience: The audience for my site is the Wee population. Due to their nonconventional body shape and stature (read: unique and cute), Wees have struggled with conventional air travel, especially in our age of ever-­‐decreasing seat pitch and ever-­‐increasing neighbor size. My website will market an airline that frees the Wees from these difficulties. Content: I currently have plans for a home page which link to pages about Wee Airlines’ fleet, destinations, member benefits, deals/specials, travelling information, and general airline information. Most of these pages will also link to pages with more riveting material. For example, the page about mileage member benefits (Weeee, Weee, and Wee levels) will link to pages with facts about these enticing levels of membership. Graphics: I will be using graphics I have created in the past and will create in the future. I make my graphics with Illustrator and Photoshop, and they will depict the airline fleet, pictures of destinations, etc. I will also make my own headers, logos, buttons, banners, etc. Overall Design and Style: I’m quite a fan of minimalist style. I will create a site that is clean, light, and refreshing. Furthermore, the Wees and their lifestyle are representative of a whimsical world free from complexities and full of bright, exciting colors. I want my site to exude these qualities. (Below: Wees in their natural habitat) Size/scope of site: Of course, Wee Airlines is not Virgin Atlantic (it’s better!), so my site won’t have the extensive (-­‐ly cumbersome) navigation and thousands of pages indicative of a large airline’s website.
