Bob Luchetti has over 30 years of experience as an architect, industrial designer and educator. Robert Luchetti Associates, Inc. was established in 1987. Clients include public and private institutions, major corporations, civic authorities, and individuals. Over the years he has completed successful award winning projects in the four practice areas of the firm.

He was born in San Francisco, CA and relocated to Cambridge, MA in the early 1970's to pursue graduate studies in architecture. He has subsequently practiced and taught in

Cambridge and abroad. His primary focus is visual design in a multi-disciplinary practice. Major interests are international practice, low rise/high density “field” buildings and architecture as urban design, the design of architectural, interior and furniture systems, and environment and behavior research and its application to the design of work and learning environments.

Practice Areas

Architecture

Projects include numerous new and renovated individual residences, the historic renovation and rehabilitation of theatre, church, residential and loft buildings, new theatre and assembly projects and master plans and buildings for schools, museums, universities and a major hospital.

Interior Architecture

As an interior architect, he is recognized internationally as a leader in the design of work and learning environments. Major U.S. and international projects include a number of headquarters for corporations and cultural institutions, smaller scale residential, office and retail projects and interior’s work for schools and universities.

Industrial, Graphic and Exhibit Design

As a multidisciplinary studio of architects, industrial and graphic designers the firm provides product and industrial design ranging in scale from building signage to interior micro-architecture systems. Their major experience is in market research and product development studies, systems design for architectural products, office and educational furnishings, lighting and light fixtures, technology integration and exhibition design.

Work and Learning Environment Consulting

RL Workplace Consultants is focused on the acquisition and analysis of programming and planning data for the design of work and learning spaces. Environmental, cultural, technological, and ergonomic issues are assessed to determine the framing of meaningful conclusions and implementable programs through comprehensive design guidelines.
