SDH/SONET,
TDM/ATM, Carrier Ethernet, MPLS and
All-Range WDM OTN ROADM on a single
platform and leads the P-OTS (Packet Optical
Transport Systems) market segment. The
XDM-1000 is equipped with a full non-blocking
E1 to STM-64 switching matrix of 120 Gb
capacity and can switch up to 400 Gb of
Ethernet/MPLS-TP traffic. With a variety of
interfaces, from E1 through STM-1/4/16/64
and FE/GE/10GE up to 80 DWDM channels, the
XDM-1000 suits a broad range of applications
and services, including mobile backhaul,
business, MSO, CoC, and residential triple
play. Its innovative design meets all the
requirements of modern transmission
networks
with
integrated
network
management and control plane functionality.
With extensive support of both data (L1, L2,
EoS, MPLS) and optics (C/DWDM, WSS
ROADM), the XDM-1000 supports a smooth
migration path to carrier class Ethernet
services over optical transport networks.
With the All-Native Hybrid+ approach, the
XDM-1000 supports an Ethernet overlay,
while continuing to serve the SONET/SDH
domain from the same NE. The build-as-yougrow modular design allows card and
module sharing among XDM family members
and control by a single unified management
system, assuring low Total Cost of Ownership
for existing and future network buildouts.
The 1000 dovetails with the entire ECI
portfolio, providing a complete solution
within ECI's 1Net architectural framework.
