The student version provides the full program capabilities with limited data capacity of 99 variables and 1,500 observations. The student
version is available for a 12 month lease.
A student license is for academic use by one full-time student enrolled in an accredited degree granting program. A student license is for one
registered user and may not be shared, installed on a network, in a computer laboratory or on a public access computer. Verification of
student status may be required. Use for business, government, consulting and research for hire is specifically excluded.
NLOGIT software includes LIMDEP
NLOGIT 5 may not be added to a LIMDEP 10 license at a later date.
Please contact Timberlake if you require licenses that go over several Departments and/or
buildings. These are available only as annual lease licenses and are negotiated on a case by case
basis.

LIMDEP’s Education Licensing Options
An educational license is for current members of a degree granting organization with a university email address. An
educational license is granted solely for the organization’s internal educational purposes and does not include use for
affiliated organizations. Use of the software for business, government, nonprofit, consulting and revenue-generating
purposes is specifically excluded.
Single User License
1. A single user license is registered to one designated user, and the registered user is the only authorized user.
2. A single user license allows two installations: a primary desktop and a secondary laptop or home computer as long as usage is
only by the registered user.
3. A single user license may not be installed on a network, server, public access computer, or in a computing lab.
4.We request the name, department, university, address and email address of the actual software user for single user license orders.
5. All licenses include PDF documentation.
6. Technical support is offered only to the registered user of the current version.

Multi-User Department Site License
1. Department site licenses are available for multiple users. The site is a group of users (such as a department, school, faculty, center
or institute) within a university or college. Software access is for the licensed group and does not include other groups.
2. The licensed group includes the actual software users. A computing lab or an administrative, computing, systems or IT department
may not hold the license.
3. There are two installation options, stand-alone or network.
3.1. Stand-Alone: LIMDEP or NLOGIT may be installed on the specified number of stand-alone computers including on-site campus
desktops and university owned laptops. Home computers are excluded. Every installation is counted.
3.2. Network: LIMDEP or NLOGIT may be installed on one network server for use within a single building. (Remote or virtual access
from home and off-site locations is not included.)
4. Multiple campuses are not be covered by a single site license.
5. The software is licensed to the site not to individual users. Members of the site may not take LIMDEP or NLOGIT with them or
access the software once they leave the university. Licensed members may not use LIMDEP or NLOGIT for non-academic research
or update as single users.
6. The license does not include external consultants or affiliated organizations.
7. All licenses include PDF documentation.
8. The software may not be duplicated and distributed.
9. The license may not be sold or transferred.
10. Technical support is available only to current site license members for the current version.
