ONE. How many people stay to a room and what style
are the rooms?
Our dorms have 3 floors and our rooms are designed to
house 2 students—a twin bed for each. There are a
select few that are single rooms. All 6 of our dorms (3
guys/3 girls) are set up slightly different, but are overall
very similar. Each side of the room mirrors the other;
which includes a closet, dresser, desk, bookshelf, and
extra storage by the bed. The rooms are also carpeted
and have large windows.
THREE. Are the dorms air conditioned?
TWO. What types of bathrooms are available in the
dorms?
Yes! Some rooms also have ceiling fans.
No, there is no pool on campus…but there is a creek! There
is a pool at nearby Ewert park for a small admission fee.
FIVE. What kinds of recreation options are available on
campus?
SIX. What is the distance between the dorms, the main
meeting space, and the cafeteria?
The Multi Purpose Building has a racquet ball court for
students to use. Our fields are used for many games like
Ultimate Frisbee and football. Our Mabee Student Center
also has pool tables, a ping pong table, and large screen
TVs. Landreth Park is a block away and has a
running/walking trail and sand volleyball courts.
We have a community bathroom on each floor of the dorms.
There are about 4 individual showers and plenty of sinks
and stalls in each bathroom.
FOUR. Is there a pool on campus?
Going to classes, the cafeteria, the student center, etc. are
all within a short walking distance of the dorms.
SEVEN. What are the food options available on
campus?
EIGHT. What is the best restaurant on campus or
nearby?
The dining hall is located in the center of campus and will be
the location for all meals during the conference.
Off campus our students enjoy Instant Karma, Chik-fil-A,
Woody’s BBQ, Hackett’s Hot Wings, Joplin Ave Coffee Co.
and many unique restaurants located just minutes from
campus in Downtown Joplin.

Northpark Mall, Mini Golf/Driving Range on Rangeline,
Movie Theater, pools, The Falls, the George Washington
Carver National Monument, Precious Moments Park, Grand
Falls, Gourmet Candy House and Factory, Spiva Center for
the Arts, Sunshine Lamp District, Joplin Museum Complex,
Reptile World, The Bridge, laser tag, Paintball Ridge, Shady
beach Floats, Sandstone Gardens, and the Wildcat Glades
Conservation & Audubon Center.
Ozark Christian College is located on a spacious 95-acre
campus in the city of Joplin in southwest Missouri. This is a
great location because it offers your students the chance to
be on a smaller campus and you will have a more intimate
feel with your group.
The Joplin area offers small town charm with myriads of
shopping and dining destinations. There are many fun
things to do in the area and sights to explore in
Southwestern Missouri!
