The 4th Annual Chase Tower Giving Tree is now up in the Main Lobby! Grab a list and bring back a gift that will benefit a
child at New Horizons, a shelter which provides a safe and therapeutic environment for boys and girls who have suffered
from severe abuse and neglect.

Scholastic will be in the Mezzanine near the 2100 Ross Sky Bridge on December 18th & 19th.

Jason’s Deli will be opening a new location in Downtown Dallas on December 17. They will be located at 1409 N Main Street
between Akard and Field. Jason’s will be open Monday-Friday 7-3, and will cater and deliver breakfast and lunch.
A Word From The Concierge

Chase Tower. Hines will be managing the building and Stream Realty
will continue to provide leasing. Hines is the sponsor of Hines REIT,
and is responsible for the management and leasing of its assets.

Neiman Marcus Giving Tree
Chase Tower, Main Lobby
Neiman Marcus Downtown and Chase Bank unveiled their
famous Holiday Tree November 17, 2006. Neiman Marcus
donated the tree to Chase, who in turn, donated $100,000 to
children’s organizations in the Dallas area including, Booker T.
Washington, Herbert Marcus Elementary, Girls Inc., Mi Escuelita
and Vogel Alcove. Renamed The Giving Tree in honor of this
join philanthropic effort, it will be displayed at Chase Bank for
years to come.
The Giving Tree is composed of $1 million of recycled,
shredded U.S. currency. The US Bureau of Engraving and
Printing approved this million-dollar Giving Tree and all the
trimmings. It is calculated that the tree is worth $165.00 per
ounce.
The tree is festooned and decorated with oversized
reproduction coins, piggy banks, mirror balls, and over 300
pounds of faux jewels. The tree is aglow with hand dipped, old
fashioned Christmas tree bulbs, all powered by an electric
motor that rotates the tree clockwise at 1RPM.
To create the over 200 branches, bills were soaked in water,
combed and straightened. The shredded strips were sewn
together, and then hand twisted and woven with silver Mylar to
create the shimmering foliage.
Artist Lonnie Hanzon is originally from Colorado and began his
career in performing arts and fashion design, but soon found
himself being hired to design major entertainment projects and
fine art installations.

Comerica Bank Parade
“Celebrate Downtown!” is the theme for the Comerica Bank New Year’s Parade
on Monday afternoon, Dec. 31, 2007, in Downtown Dallas. The familyfriendly event will help kick off New Year’s celebrations in the DFW
Metroplex while welcoming thousands of visitors in town for the AT&T
Cotton Bowl Classic.
The parade begins at 2 p.m. at Comerica Bank Tower (Ervay & Elm) before
turning on Main, Lamar and Houston Streets to conclude at the American
Airlines Center. Parade participants will include the two university bands
participating in the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic, the Kilgore Rangerettes,
nearly 20 high school marching bands from across the country, and a number
of floats and equestrian units showcasing North Texas companies and cultural
and entertainment attractions.
