ABOUTTHEPATIENT
Katrina enjoys an active outdoors lifestyle involving running and hiking. She started running
recreationally 20 years ago with her husband and became quite competitive in local 10K races
placinginthetop5finishersforheragegroup.Sheandherhusbandlovetheoutdoorsandhave
mademanytripsoutwestforhikingadventures.
Over the years Katrina began
experiencing pain in her right knee and
decided to seek treatment. After 2
meniscectomies (2007, 2008) left her
with limited relief, she was informed
that her next option would be a knee
replacement. She desired an option
with minimal recovery time, the ability
to continue working asa bedside nurse
and that would also allow her to
continue her outdoor activities free
from pain. In 2009 she met with Tom
