Definition of the CCP Program Chancellor Carey defines College Credit Plus as the governing program that allows students to engage in “nonsectarian, non-remedial educational coursework while in high school that automatically results in transcripted high school and college credit at the successful conclusion of that coursework.” 1 CCP provides students with the opportunity to pursue a postsecondary education with a head start, and schools a gateway for introducing students to potential college and career pathways. Purpose of the CCP Administrative Handbook The purpose of this manual is to provide high school administrators, counselors, and instructors with details regarding CCP at the University of Cincinnati (UC) at the Uptown Campus. This manual includes information pertaining to CCP students who take courses at partnered public and private high school, through online distance learning, or on campus. This document also outlines administrative procedures, reporting requirements, student registration procedures, resource references, UC policy, and contact information. “College Credit Plus: Chancellor John Carey’s Recommendations for Ohio’s dual credit program.” OhioHigherEd.
