Security at our nation’s nuclear labs is vital, but a witch
hunt is no solution. The continued persecution of Dr. Wen
Ho Lee smacks of racism, endangers American scientific
research, and is financially ruining Dr. Lee and his family.
Ensure that justice prevails over political expediency in this
very unfortunate case.
The partisan hysteria over security at U.S. nuclear labs has led
to the abuse of Dr. Wen Ho Lee, who has been targeted for
persecution based solely on his ethnicity. I strongly urge you to
use your powers as a Senator to ensure that justice and fairness
prevail over bigotry and political expediency. Help Dr. Lee rejoin
his family.
