About the course:
This 5-day course consists of lectures and hand-on exercises to perform designing
of gathering system, fluid treatment, transportation, measurements and storage
using computer software. Starting from an introduction to the natural gas and oil
physics characteristics, the lectures provide fundamentals to industry personnel
working indirectly with surface facility systems and equipment. The course is
equally ideal for engineers-in-training or technical professionals from different
specialist disciplines who wish to gain additional insights into surface facilities
systems. The course provides an overview of the factors which influence the
efficiency of surface facilities and a fundamental explanation of the most
commonly used equipment and operations. Technical explanations of common
practices are given, along with trouble shooting hints, strategies for getting
smooth operation of equipment. A complete set of course materials and computer
programs are provided.
