“Why Engaging in Research as an Undergraduate Will
Transform Your Future”
USF is a research university and all undergraduates have
opportunities to engage in research projects across all disciplines.
Studies show that students who participate in research earn higher
grades, complete the degree faster, have a deeper understanding of
the discipline and gain a competitive advantage for jobs and
graduate school. Attendees to this interactive workshop will learn
about the resources available through the Office for Undergraduate
Research, the impact of research to academic and career, the many
ways to obtain research experience at USF, methods to research,
identify and network with potential mentors, and how to get credit
for research experiences. All attendees will develop an individual
Research Action Plan and also will be added to the Canvas OUR
Interest Group that contains postings of UR opportunities.
Participants will also have a tour of the Office for Undergraduate
Research.

so you can teach without fear.

Reduce tension and manage stress through guided relaxation and
mindfulness.
