International are producers of presumptive colorimetric ampoule tests for the police and customs officers. These tests give a presumptive identification of a suspected substance. These tests in no way substitute the need for further confirmation by for example GC-MS analysis. Always have your sample confirmed by a laboratory. In order to give you, the customer, the best identification possible we do tests at our laboratory to ensure the quality of our products and to expose possible cross reactions with our tests. In this report we tested our MDMA purity test. Chemicals Used In this test we used the following chemicals: Chemical Aplha-D(+)-Glucose Aspirin Benzocaine Boric acid Caffeine Creatine D(+)-Sacharose D-Mannitol D-Sorbitol Ibuprofen Lactose monohydrate Levamisole Lidocaine Magnesium sulphate Paracetamol Phenacitin Procaine Vitamine C Manufacturer Across Organics Sigma-Aldrich Sigma-Aldrich Carl-Roth Carl-Roth Sigma-Aldrich Carl-Roth Sigma-Aldrich Carl-Roth Sigma-Aldrich Carl-Roth Across Organics Sigma-Aldrich Carl-Roth Sigma-Aldrich Sigma-Aldrich Sigma-Aldrich Carl-Roth Purity 99,0% 99,9% 99,9% 99,9% 99,9% 99,9% 99,7% 98,5% 99,7% 98,3% 99,5% 99,9% 99,9% 99,7% 99,8% 99,9% 97,0% 99,5% MDMA Duchefa Farma B.V. 99,5% Street Samples: Chemical BZP+TMFPP mCPP MDA Methylone PMMA Amphetamine Methamphetamine Analysis results: Identity confirmed by GC-MS Identity confirmed by GC-MS Identity confirmed by GC-MS Identity confirmed by GC-MS Identity confirmed by GC-MS Identity confirmed by GC-MS Identity confirmed by GC-MS M.M.C. Furthermore we used our GC-MS to confirm the identity of the street samples we used to test the MDMA purity for cross reactions. Below are the specifications of the GC-MS instrument we used. The GC was an Agilent Technologies 7820A Gas Chromatograph (GC) with 5975 Mass Selective Detector (MSD). The system uses a split/split less inlet with an HP5-MS column. Besides the chemicals and electronic equipment we used regular laboratory supplies and our MDMA purity test. Semi-Quantitative Analysis First, the pure MDMA was cut with Caffeine in 6 different ratios: Percentage of MDMA 0% (Blanc) 10% 25% 50% 75% 100% Amount of Caffeine 20mg 18mg 15mg 10mg 5mg 0mg Amount of MDMA 0mg 2mg 5mg 10mg 15mg 20mg The weight samples were added to the ampoules and the following results were obtained: From left to right the amount of MDMA increases, this picture is taken after 60 minutes. The toplayer can be read at 5, 15, 30 and 60 minutes. The longer it stands the clearer the color differences in color (and concentration) can be determined. M.M.C. International B.V. Laboratory and Production Manager Benji Voesenek Phone number: +31-76-5711140 Page 2 of 6 The chart we made according to the test done with different ratios of MDMA and Caffeine. There are 4 charts made at 5, 15, 30 and 60 minutes. The top left one is after 5 minutes, the top right one after 15 minutes, the bottom left one after 30 minutes and the bottom right after 60 minutes. In the following chapter we will test the cross reactivity of the MDMA Purity test with several other substances M.M.C. International B.V. (MDMA does not give this residue.) Bright yellow-orange top layer, gives residue on the sides of the ampoule in between the two layers. (MDMA does not give this residue.) Same reaction as MDMA because it is so similar None None None None Conclusion: The MDMA Purity test allows you to test the purity of MDMA and also allows you to detect some of the cutting agents by looking at the bottom layer of the test and possible residue occurring at the sides of the ampoule. Unfortunately if one of those reactions is observed the purity of the MDMA cannot be determined because these substances interfere with the colour produced by MDMA, but this only occurs in a few cases. This test is designed to be used alongside the MMC Crystal Meth/XTC (MDMA) test. If this test is positive for MDMA it is possible to determine the purity with this new MDMA purity test. We want to thank the local police for lending us the samples for doing the tests with street samples. M.M.C. International B.V.
