Central Florida Research Park (CFRP) is a 1,027
acre campus-like environment for business,
located adjacent to the University of Central
Florida. Currently there are 58 buildings, and
almost 1,500,000 square feet of existing space.
Located in the East Orlando Submarket of the
greater Orlando MSA, CFRP provides ultimate
access to the incredible talent pool at UCF,
the second largest university in the country,
with over 63,370 students currently enrolled.
The Best Colleges 2016 guide, published by
US News and World Report, listed UCF was
tied as the 13th “Most Innovative School”
along with Georgia Tech and the University
of Southern California. According to the
magazine, “We added this ranking so that
college officials could pick schools that the

campuses.”
CFRP has an existing employment base of over 10,000 employees, with many of those employees already tied to the training,
modeling and simulation industry which provides billions of dollars of revenue to the region. For example, the National Center
for Simulation is located within the Institute for Simulation and Training, an internationally recognized research institute that
focuses on advancing human-centered modeling and simulation. Other industries with significant presence found within the
park are optics & photonics (lasers), behavioral sciences, diagnostic test equipment, cancer research, pharmaceuticals,
advanced electronics, IT Solutions, aerospace, combat systems and healthcare.
Also, CFRP is home to Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWC/TSD), the Air Force Agency for Modeling
and Simulation (AFAMS), and the Army Simulation, Training and Instrumentation Command (STRICOM) – the center of the
US simulation and training industry – have their headquarters in the Research Park.
