Arrow selected as a worldwide IBM Global Training Provider
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- July 12, 2013 – Arrow Electronics Inc. (NYSE: ARW) has been selected
as an IBM Global Training Provider for IBM`s Software Group and Systems and Technology
Group.
Arrow has been an IBM distributor since 1989, and its IT training group, Arrow Enterprise
Computing Solutions Education, an established education and training services provider that is
among one of the most comprehensive and innovative in the IT industry, is one of the largest
IBM Training providers. As such, Arrow has been working closely with IBM to successfully test
elements of the new model in the United Kingdom, Ireland and the Nordics.
During the selection process, Arrow demonstrated the required qualifications based on
excellence in marketing, selling, IT training capabilities and the ability to cover IBM Training on a
global basis. In the next 12 months, Arrow ECS Education will implement its IBM Global
Training program in up to 130 countries. It is anticipated that the program will be available in 10
countries to start, and will be offered in more than 50 additional countries by the end of 2013,
and to the remaining countries by Summer 2014.
