The US Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point, NY Alumni Chapter affiliate in Washington, D.C. (the Kings Point Club of
Washington D.C.) is hosting an outreach event for area high school students. The goal of the event is to inform local
students about Federal academy opportunities as well as the nomination and appointment process. Ultimately we hope to
increase enrollment of underrepresented groups at all Federal academies. All five Federal academies will be represented
at this event and we anticipate more than 200 high school students from across the region will be in attendance.
All KP Alumni are encouraged to participate and share your experiences of academy life, and the benefits of being an
