Divorce, separation, domestic violence, child abuse, and substance abuse all contribute to the need for children to have a safe and neutral place to visit with family members in their lives. Services are offered in English, Portuguese, Spanish and Creole. Supervised visits are scheduled at a time that is considerate to the needs of the family. Transportation of the children to and from visits is provided by staff members for those children whose foster parents or guardians are unable to transport them. The Centers feature: Five visitation rooms equipped with games, furniture, and televisions Fully operational kitchen area Additional supports such as parenting groups, anger management groups, self esteem groups, mental health supports, recovery support groups and services, and the assistance in obtaining domestic violence, sexual assault or stalking supportive services. The Safe Child Visitation Center in Fall River has separate entrances and exits, separate parking areas, separate arrival and departure times, and is video-monitored.
