“Julius Caesar” Friendship Committee William Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar deals in part with the issue of friendship. What makes a true friend? How does one maintain a friendship in a political context? YOUR TASK: To prepare for reading the play, your Friendship Committee is responsible for drafting a list of ten qualities or traits that qualify a person as a friend. You also need to list five friendship infractions that could cause the possible absolving of a friendship. When you have finished creating these two lists, your group needs to select a Friendship Constitution Representative to represent your group at a Friendship Summit. At the Friendship Summit, the representatives will draft a class Friendship Constitution, incorporating ideas from each committee. The final Friendship Constitution should include ten friendship traits and five friendship infractions, selected from the individual groups' work. Each Representative should attempt to include at least two of her group's ideas in the final Constitution.
