Financial Aid Application Form
THE TOWNSHEND INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL – EDUCATION ENDOWMENT FUND strives to provide the
opportunity for youth from various financial situations to attend the school and contribute positively to its
culture and philosophy. This fund is the result of the sacrifice of the friends and family of Townshend
worldwide, who have contributed generously to enable a child to have the best possible education. We
strongly urge you to first investigate the possibilities of support among relatives, friends and/or your
communities as there is a limited amount of financial aid available annually.
Priorities are given to students who:
 Are from Pioneering families;
◦ Living in developing countries with lack of proper educational institutions
 Have demonstrated excellent character and can contribute positively to the culture and philosophy
of the school, and
 No other student from that country is attending Townshend
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED
 Completed Townshend Financial Aid Application Form, signed and stamped by your employer,
accountant or Notary
 A reference about your child from his/her school, your Community or an Institution
 Student Sponsorship Application Essay
CONDITIONS FOR ANNUAL EXTENSION OF SPONSORSHIP:
To retain the sponsorship for the subsequent years, the points mentioned below will be taken into
consideration on an annual basis:
1. Renewal of the Financial Aid form
2. Academic evaluation and progress (Including Attitude, Effort, Behavior and Grades)
3. Assessment of Dormitory life
4. Special contributions (Activities and services that the child is involved in, through their own
initiative)
Students receiving negative evaluations will not be offered an extended sponsorship for the following
academic year.
Neither your personal information nor the identities of the sponsors are revealed to either party.

sponsorship, i.e. in which ways you could contribute to the support of the Townshend philosophy. (For more
space, please use the back of this sheet.)
Please read the following carefully. If you believe that you can comply with what is written here, please sign on the
bottom line and have your parents send this paper with the Financial Aid Form to the school.


