El Árbol Genealógico DUE: January 23rd You will have a project for this chapter. This project will be done entirely at home. It will be worth a test grade. THE POSTER: You will be making a family tree of your imaginary family. You will use cut outs from magazines to serve as members of your family. DO NOT use pictures of real members of your actual family. Remember, this is your IMAGINARY family. You must label each family member and give them a name. This will be in complete sentences using the grammar we are learning in school. The labels may be done by hand or typed. You decide which one will be more presentable. Use the following sentence as a model: Alex es mi abuelo. (name) + (ser)+ (my) +(family member). OR Mi abuelo es Alex. The essay should include ________ Who is in your family? ________ Describe EACH of the members of your family- personality and physical traits individually. ________Describe people together who happen to have the same traits. (example: My mother and aunt are short-Mi madre y mi tía son bajas). There should be at least one description like this one. ________ Tell the nationality of the grandparents. They can be the same or different. ________ Tell the age of your family members. You should talk about the ages of people who have the same age in the same sentences. (example: My mother and aunt are 40 years old- Mi madre y mi tía tienen cuarenta años). There should be at least one description like this one. ________ Describe yourselves as a group. (example: We are funny and shy.–Somos graciosos y tímidos.) ________ Describe the set of twins in your family. THE ESSAY MUST BE TYPED. I am attaching the accent codes list so that you can type in the accents. You must have 2 printouts of your essay, one to attach to the poster and one to turn into me to grade.
