Vicky:
This reception activity was really a special experience that I have never joined.
As a host family, I deeply appreciate our principal held the activity. Because of
this program, I not only made a great progress on English but also understood
different cultures between Taiwan and America. During the time they stayed in
Taiwan, we had a great time and because of them, I have done many things for
my first time. Of course when the time they had to leave for China, I was really
sad. We have become close friends, but they had to go on the next trip. After
they left, every time I walk past the place we had been to, the memory they
brought to me arose in my mind and I just shed tears. My yearning for them
grows stronger day by day. I hope I can meet them soon however they come to
Taiwan or I visit them in US in the future. Anyway, thank Matthew for the
wonderful memories. I really miss them so much!!!!
Annie:
I was really excited about the activity. When I saw them at school, it’s just like a
dream come true. We went to many special places together, and had a lot of fun
together. By the way, I slept with Ashley everyday. I am so happy to be friend with
her. She is really nice and cute. It’s an amazing experience to be friends with
foreigners. We changed the different cultures together. And, we went to Taipei
together. We saw a lot of interesting things. All of us had a lot of fun. So, it’s a
really great experience for me.
Sandra:
Travel on Sunday, although I did not go, but from their smile can be seen how
happy they are. Vicky and Annie look at this matter very seriously, and I also
learned on them, for one thing, to take the initiative to fight for their own good
things, the final will have a good result, I hope next meet to come soon.
Sunny:
Ashley, Mathieu, Ben and teacher John were coming to our school, Chu-Pei
Senior High School, in Taiwan! I was extremely excited to meet them face to face
instead of via Skype. I couldn’t wait to show them around the place where I live
and exchange two different cultures. In these five days, we went to Nei-Wan,
Hsin-Chu and Chu-Pei and had lots of fun together.
Stanley:
We've skyped with the students in liberty high school for a semester, finally, they
travelled to Taiwan this march, and we can see them real! At first, I’m afraid that it
will be really embarrassing if we don't know what to say with them, but they are
really kind, and I tried to talk to them, we became good friend. We went to many
places with Mathieu and Ashley; we went shopping at Neiwan old street. There,
we ate some Taiwanese food and bought some souvenir. After this, we went to
Vicky’s house to have a karaoke party, we sang, we danced, and played game.
We also have a good time with them at school, my friends really jealous me that I
have such a good foreign friend. We also went to Hsinchu down town, they really
enjoyed. The most important part is that I met my good friend who was hosted by
students in Ghanxi. They are Chris, Gabe, and Miranda. I really appreciated this
opportunity because Chris and Gabe are my best friends. Its so fantastic that I
met the real person!! After they left Taiwan, everyone was just too sad to say a
word, we just crying and watched them gone. But it’s a wonderful experience, I
will memorize it forever, and I will go to America to see them someday.
Leo:
I like the skype of this time very much, because they stood in front of me! They
came to Taiwan to visit our school. When they arrived our school. We are so
excited, and the man, whose name is Mathew, is so humor. We also played a
game together, and we had fun in the morning so that we broke the impasse
between us. I hope that we can go to their school just like they did in the future.

Vicky:
I love France so much! France is really an elegant and romantic country full of
ancient buildings. This country has many things to admire because of its
multiethnic community, language, and Religion. France is full of atmosphere of
brilliants, nobles, and graceful royal families. It attracts lots of tourists around
the world. The thing I like most is the fascinating accent which the French people
have and I really want to learn French. If there’s an opportunity to go, I would
surely wish to go there because I yearn for European culture, and living
overseas. I believe that visiting France is absolutely experience that you will
never forget.

My favorite country is England. Because it's a romantic country and there are a
lot of beautiful buildings. For example, Buckingham Palace, Tower Bridge,
Westminster Abbey and Big Ben. I have been there with my classmates three
years ago. It's an amazing trip. My impressive place is London Eye. When I on
the London Eye, I think that I can see all London. It's really cool. By the way, I
stay with local people. They are so nice and they introduced their country for me.
So, I can know more things about England. I think it's a cool trip and I had a lot of
fun.

This week, we met a new skype friend, his name is Adam, and Mexicans speak
Spanish. My sister is a Spanish-speaking students, I hope my sister also have
the opportunity to with Adam Skype to be able to come face-to-face session, that
would be a lot of fun, looking forward to the next meet with Adam.

My parents brought me to Hong Kong and Singapore for sightseeing when I was
about five years old. Sadly, I was too little to remember anything there. Then, I
went to Japan with my parents twice when I was in junior high school and we
really had a great time there. However, England is the best country I’ve ever
been to. I went to England after I graduated from junior high school. I decided to
go there with my friend for studying English and sightseeing. I liked the lovely
weather there in summer even though it rained a lot. The host family was nice to
me and I met a lot of friends from around the world. I absolutely had an awesome
time there!

survive in America. There was news recently, a NCAA player whose name is
Kevin Ware broke his leg seriously in the game That made me frightened. All in
all I love America, I wish that I can go there and watch NBA in the future.

Vicky:
One Direction is my favorite band. All their music could be easily recognized in
any English-speaking country and even many non-English-speaking countries
which are crazy about them. One of songs which I love most is their debut single,
What Makes You Beautiful, was breaking records before it even went on sale.
The meaning of the song is about a girl who is attractive to boys, but she doesn't
believe it herself and as a result feels insecure. The message they conveyed was
really sweet and lovely. For me, One Direction is the most successful band in the
world, not only because of good-looking but also because of their personality and
passion for music. They will be my first idol as well as the best idol forever.
Annie:
My favorite singer is Taylor Swift. She is really beautiful, and she can play guitar
very well. The song which is called Love Story is really romantic. So I really love
her. By the way, there are many good singers in Taiwan. For example, Jay Chou,
Jolin and JJ. They are really famous in Taiwan. I also like Jay Chou. Because the
lyrics of his songs are really great. The lyrics include a lot of Chinese and
Taiwanese cultures. So it's more special than other singers whose songs are
always talked about love. He is such a cool singer for me.
Sandra:
My favorite singer is Bruno Mars, he is a soul singer can sing every song into the
hearts of others, especially when I was your man this song, which is one of my
favorite songs; I hope he will be famous forever because I really love him.
Sunny:
There are a lot of awesome singers around the world so I don’t have a favorite
one. Now I’m going to type out the singers I love : Taylor Swift (country music) ,
Maroon 5, One Direction, Cher Lloyd, Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson, The Wanted
and West life, David Guetta, Enrique Lglesias (Spanish songs), Luan Santana
(Brazilian songs), Michel Telo (Brazilian songs) , Paolo Meneguzzi (Italian
songs) , Seu Cuca (Spanish songs) . Music always brings me happy atmosphere
no matter how I feel at the moment so I listen to music very often. And
sometimes I sing songs when I’m alone because I’m not much a singer.
Stanley:
My favorite singer is Lady Gaga, I listen to her song begin from 2009 when I was
in England, I just attracted by her beautiful voice and the cool rhythm, after I went
back to Taiwan, I google her music, and buy her albums .Since then, I bought her
every album and keep following her, I even went to her concert in Taipei last year,
its so magical when I saw the real her. Lady Gaga's New album "ARTPOP" will
be released this year...just expect it so much!
Leo:
I like a lot of singer who sing Hip-hop songs, but my favorite song is sung by Flo
Rida. The song, Low, is one of my favorite song. Flo Rida sang a lot of songs that
pleasant to our ear, such as Good Feeling, Whistle and Wild Ones. I had heard
his song when I was an elementary school student, the songs melody made me
indulge in it. All in all, I think Flo Rida is the best singer.

Vicky:
I don’t have any dream jobs. The only thing I know is what my interests are and I
will follow them until I find out what jobs suit me. Maybe I would like to work in a
multinational corporation of which position is about business because I study at
the department of commercial management now and I love English so much.
Now the most important thing is that I have to study harder and get into a good
university. Having a good educational background can make me get a job more
easily.
Annie:
My dream job is to be a lawyer. Because there are a lot of things unfair around
the world. I think that every country needs laws. Because not every person is
kind-hearted, people sometimes do some bad things. So, I think it's really
important. We can see some bad things on the newspapers. For example, who
steals something, creates the disturbance and so on. So, I think that lawyer is an
important job in the world.
Sandra:
I don't have a dream job and don't care about the treatment, and the only reason
is my parents. I think my parents are everything to me, so I wish I can make a lot
of money, giving them the best care and well-being and love them forever.
Stanley:
My dream job is to do an engineer, I like to design some interesting little useful
things, and also I like to meet new friends, and I have enthusiasts talking to my
clients, so I don't want to stay in the office all day, I want to be an engineer who
can share the ideas with people around the world
Leo:
The topic is so hard that I don't know how to write. I don't know which job I want.
But I hope that I can play basketball in NBA and playing basketball is my job.
Although it is impossible, I still can have a dream. I dream that I am Jeremy Lin,
he plays basketball so well, and he can make money in NBA, too. After all it is
too difficult to be another Jeremy.

Vicky:
“Toy Story” has been my favorite movie since I was a child and I never get tired of
watching them. Each of the character in that movie has its own personality.
Furthermore, it made me recall the toys I owned in my childhood. Also, it was
true to life and the story was so interesting. “Toy Story” always brings laughter to
people and it truly touches me just because of its simple story but with deep
emotion between human and human. That’s why I love this movie so much.
Annie:
I don't have my favorite movie. I watch all kinds of movies. For example, romantic
movies, action movies, scared movies and comedy. I like scared movies, but I
seldom watch it. I think scared movies are irritated. But if I watch it, I will feel
horrible and can't feel asleep. I said that I want to see scared movie, my mom
didn't agree. By the way, I also like romantic movies which is called Twilight. It's
such a great movie. After I saw the movie, I felt heart-touched. I really like to see
movies. I see movies almost every weekend.
Sandra:
My favorite movie is (catch me if you can),and the main character is also my
favorite idol , Leonardo DiCaprio and Thomas Jeffrey Hanks, who are very
famous。Based on a true story, the story of ownership - the small flange Zac
classes Neal is the youngest of the FBI's Ten Most Wanted ever guilty, Leonardo
DiCaprio played the only 16-year-old genius committed fraud.
Stanley:
My favorite movie is a classic movie called “the sound of music”, people sing
songs with their emotion and express their feelings with the lyrics, and I like the
willing atmosphere of the movie. The musics of the movie are so unforgettable,
and I like the dance as well, though the movie is over 48 yeas, I still like it so
much.
Leo:
There are many great movies, such as Transformers, Avenger, Step up ......, but
my favorite movie is three idiots. The movie makes me change my view of life. I
always thought studying is so hard that I want to keep if from me, but the movie
told me that "All is well". Don't be afraid of the problem, and we have to be brave
to face it, Everything is possible, don't give up, just do your best, you will be
successful in the future. Despite the fact that I am afraid of my school work
sometimes, I will face it without hesitation.
