Experience
I have been working in the field of information security since 1990. My role has
extended to but not been limited to providing training and consultancy,
implementing information security systems and designing security policies.
In addition to information security, my area of specialization includes

Development of Advance Computing (CDAC), the Stock Holding Corporation
of India Limited (SHCIL), YASHADA (Maharashtra Government Dept. Training)
and members of the Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
For the police
Conducted several training programs and seminars on Cyber law, Computer
Forensics and Cyber Crime Investigation for National Police Academy (NPA),
the premier training academy for the Indian Police Service, the Police
departments of States of Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra and Gujarat.
For educational institutions
Conducted several training seminars on Cyber Laws and Intellectual Property
issues for educational institutions including Sri Venkateswara University
(Tirupati), ILS Law College (Pune), Government Law College (Mumbai),
VAMNICOM, Pune, Y C Law College (Pune), V. M. Salgaocar Law College
(Goa), and Bangalore Institute of Legal Studies (Bangalore).
Cyber crime
investigation
Have advised and assisted in investigations into several cyber crimes including
email based crimes, source code thefts, hacking, banking frauds etc.
The major cases include the 2001 operation mounted by the Cyber Crime
Police Station, Bangalore to recover source code valued at more than Rs 7.5
crore (USD $ 1.5 million) and the Rs 2000 crore (USD $ 400 million) fake
stamp paper racket investigated by the Pune Police in 2002-03.

Made a presentation on "Indian Legal position on Cyber Terrorism, Encryption
and preventive measures" on behalf of the Karnataka Police for Otto Schily,
Interior Minister, Federal Republic of Germany.

Forensics and Cyber Crime for the cyber law related educational programs
conducted by Nagpur University, ILS Law College (Pune), Bangalore Institute
