Topic: Teenagers should have schoolwork as their only priority.
Leisure time activities are a waste of time. Do you agree?
Many people think that schoolwork is the only priority for teenagers. I
don’t agree with this view.
First of all, hobbies are an important part of a teenager’s life. They help
teenagers learn about focusing on a task, purpose and accomplishment.
Depending on the hobby teenagers can become more familiar with
history, social sciences and various cultures as well as manufacturing
things. Some teens are dedicated to great hobbies. This keeps them
interested and enthusiastic. In this overly high tech world in which most
teens are plugged in, the idea of great hobbies has taken a back seat
and has given its place to text messaging and surfing the web. Therefore
it is vital that they have a pastime that allows them to ‘unplug’ for while.
The importance of hobbies is demonstrated in the statistics that show
that teens with a great hobby are less likely to get into trouble than teens
who don’t have such a passionate pursuit in their lives. Some of the
really great hobbies available for teenagers are: collecting, writing,
building, playing music and photography.
All in all, these are, in my opinion, the advantages that hobbies have for
teenagers.
