ACCUPLACER is the test used at UTEP for course placement and for the Texas Success Initiative. Study Guides 1) Any study guide for the SAT, ACT, or THEA (formerly known as TASP) tests can prove helpful. Software 1) The Princeton Review “Inside the SAT & ACT”: 2003 Deluxe 2) Easy Writer software which provides pre-written essays and guides students through the review, revision, and editing processes. Available in the Learning Assistance Lab (LAL), Room 326 Library. The Tutoring and Learning Center (TLC) -- Library 300 1) Computer Access a) If you don’t have a computer at home, you can come to the TLC and use one of the computers in the Learning Assistance Lab (Room 327). You can access the Websites in this manner. i. You can take a practice diagnostic ACCUPLACER test (using one of the Web sites listed below) and discover the areas in which you need to be working. ii.
