Elliott, Henry F. Henry "Hank" F. Elliott, 86, resident of Port Austin, our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, brother, and friend to everyone, was called to his heavenly home on Tuesday morning, May 18, 2004, at Huron County Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe. He was born November 16, 1917 in Huron County, son of the late Wallace Sr. and Josephine (Schmitt) Elliott. Henry was married to Leona Ahearn on November 20, 1937. They were married for over 62 years. She preceded her husband in death on May 29, 2000. Mr. Elliott was a member of Kinde First Presbyterian Church and the U & I Club in Port Austin. He was a lifelong farmer. He served on the Hume Township Board from 1970-1992, and was a Justice of the Peace from 1953-1966. Hank traveled to Zephyr Hills, Florida with family and friends for the past 20 years. He enjoyed bowling, hunting, playing cards, and going for car rides to look at the crops. He is survived by one son, Roger Elliott and his wife, Theresa, of Port Austin; three daughters, Marlene Tibbits and her husband, Art, of Kinde, Judy Miller and her husband, Walt, of Port Austin, Norma Osborne and her husband, Jerry, of Port Austin; two brothers, Albert Elliott and his wife, Erma, of Flint, James Elliott and his wife, Ardith, of Clio; four sisters, Hazel Ligrow and her husband, Fred, of Bay City, Mary Flemming, of Kinde, Ann Cregeur and her husband, Willard, of Kinde, Bernice Spindler and her husband, Ronald, of Beaverton; 13 grandchildren, Diane and Gary Clark, Dale Tibbits, Karen and Larry Clark, Mike and Donna Tibbits, David and Rose Tibbits, Don and Laura Tibbits, Ed and Trish Tibbits, Bill and Carman Tibbits, Janet and Dan Quaine, Bob and Kim Miller, Sandra Osontoski, Dean Elliott, and Jaime Elliott; 27 great-grandchildren; eight great-greatgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Henry was preceded in death by his wife, Leona; one son, Robert Elliott; one great-grandson, Patrick Quaine; three brothers, Wallace Elliott, Jr., William Elliott, and infant Duard Elliott; and one sister, Helen Running. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 21, 2004, at Kinde First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Robert Tibbits will officiate. Burial will take place at Colfax Township Cemetery in Bad Axe. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today, from 1 to 9 p.m. on Thursday at MacAlpine Funeral Home-Gage Chapel in Kinde, and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday at the church.
