The Anglo-Saxon Hero: Exclusively on Facebook!
Now that you have learned about the qualities and characteristics of Anglo-Saxon heroes and warriors,
you will create a Facebook profile for a fictional Anglo-Saxon character. Please follow the instructions
and use the checklist below:
1. Select a name for your Anglo-Saxon character. (5pts)

_____Visit http://www.mybirthcare.com/favorites/pg1/Anglo-Saxon-names.asp for a complete
list of names and meanings.
2. Log onto Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/. (10pts)




_____You will need a working email address.
_____Use your selected Anglo-Saxon name as your first name.
_____Use your last name as your Anglo-Saxon characters last name.
_____Enter all information requested on the Facebook creation page and create your page.
3. Fill out all requested information in Steps 1-3 (Facebook will walk you through it) reflective of an
Anglo-Saxon character. (5pts)

_____You may use a photograph of you for the profile picture OR an image of an Anglo-Saxon
warrior found on the web.
4. Fill out your profile, making sure to include information that an Anglo-Saxon character would include.
(10pts)


_____When your profile is complete, add the sample page as your friend and begin searching
for classmates to add as friends.
_____Be sure to join groups, add applications, and create notes that truly illustrate your AngloSaxon character.
5. Begin searching for your classmates using their last names. (25pts)


_____ Send a friend request to at least 5 classmates
_____ Comment on at least 5 classmates walls regarding the unit so far. Ask a question or
discuss the unit.
