Victorian Era Research Paper
In order for you to better understand the novel Great Expectations by Charles
Dickens, you will need to complete a short research project on the author and
the Victorian Time Era. The goal of the project is to expose you to the research
process, the research essay, and to give you a better understanding of the time
period of the novel’s setting.
Your research essay will focus on 5 different areas:

You will need to find at least 3 articles to use as sources. In order for the
source to be legitimate, you will need to provide the author or publishing
information for the article. I will not accept articles without author or publishing
information.
You will need to complete at least 15 note cards for the research. You will
follow the example I give you in order to be successful. Not following directions
will make you lose points.
After your note cards, you will have to complete an outline. This will be your
rough draft to your final essay. You will follow the format I provide for you.
Your final draft will be a maximum of 3 pages following MLA guidelines. Not
following MLA rules will result in your teacher not accepting your essay.
