Jane Eyre is a romantic and realistic novel written by Charlotte Brontë ,
which is a classic work in the world.
Jane eyre is a great book with good repercussions. This works was
already published in October 1847. It is like an autobiography and when
published it was under the pseudonym Currer Bell. It earned the praise of
many reviewers. William Makepeace Thackeray, to whom Charlotte Brontë
dedicated her second edition, praised it as "a great works of a genius". When
the third edition was published , the Quarterly Review mentioned that Jane
eyre is as widely welcome as vanity fair . George Eliot, were deeply enchanted
by Jane eyre.Until now, it has been translated into more than 40 kinds of
languages.
The whole works was written in a real-life form. A large number of
psychological description is applied to the novel. The ups and downs of the
plots created a ghastly atmosphere, and the novel was in the background of a
middle-class family .This beautiful, moving ,mystery novels, maintained its
unique artistic charm.
Jane eyre is Britain's most outstanding novel in the 19th century. Through
Jane’s
twenty years’s experience, The novel showed the social political view
and the inequality caused by status difference .Jane eyre lets readers enjoy
the time with Britain as a representative of the western social social style in the
process of reading, feel the heroine Jane ,who has received good education
but has humble social status. Through Jane’s abundant emotional experience,
we can appreciate Jane’s desire for true love , friendship,freedom and equality.
The young heroine is a poor orphan girl against overwhelming odds, whose
love and determination eventually redeem .It is a works of fiction with
memorable characters and vivid scenes, written in a compellingly prose style.
Edward. Rochester , the owner of the Thornfield manor, has a big fortune
and a strong body, when he was young ,he lived a dissolute life , then he
determined to live a serious life. He gradually loved Jane and asked her to
marry him. Of his old age ,due to a fire set by his first wife he lost an arm and
an eye. Eventually he became Jane's husband.
Mrs. Reed, Jane's aunt, who promised her husband to adopt Jane, but
treated her cruelly. Her son’s suicide made her stroke, just before she died,
she found her own conscience and told Jane the truth that she had relatives
alive.
Elisa Reed, Mrs. Reed's daughter, a shrewd girl, used to arrange
everyday to be well organized and her daily life is as regular as clocks and
watches, because of her brother's behavior and her family is ruined , she
determined to solitude, then became a nun, and later became the abbot,
donated all the property to her Abbey.
George Anna Reed, Mrs. Reed's youngest daughter, yearning for
upper-class circle,looks like beauty, and finally married a rich old man.
Saint John. Levi Strauss - Jane’s handsome cousin,
have a extremely
high belief.He made an offer of marriage. but the reason is that Jane is suit to
become his assistant, finally he was rejected and went to India alone.
Jane’s vision of love deepened her personality. She believes that love
should be on the basis of spiritual equality instead of social status, wealth and
appearance, only men and women love each other sincerely, can they get real
happiness.
In the process of pursuing personal happiness, Jane eyre show unusual
pure, simple thoughts and feelings, as well as the courage to go straight. She
didn't give up pursuing happiness because she is a servant , her love is pure,
noble, she beneath attentionon on Rochester’s wealth . The reason why she
fall in love with him is that he treats others as equals.To Rochester, Jane is like
a fresh wind, making him excited. Jane’s simple, kind and independent
personality , called his desire for a new life .So he sincerely expressed his
good wishes and determination before Jane. Jane shows sympathy to
Rochester’s unfortunate fate and thinks his error is caused by the objective
environment. Although he was ugly, and later went bankruptcy even became
disabled, but what she saw was his inner beauty and pitiful unfortunate fate, so
eventually she married him.
Through the Rochester two distinct love experience, the novel criticizes
the marriage based on money.
Jane and Rochester’ love was depicted as
tacit understanding of thought, ability, quality and spirits.
Jane made me think about life, love and self. After reading this book, I've
been thinking, if I were Jane, do I have the courage to face my unfavorable life
and be brave to seek for true love. There are many words about Jane's
character .In my eyes, what I harvested after I finish reading this article is not
having learned how to analyze her fate and her choice. The
most
important
thing is that we can find ourselves from her with positive energy. In the face of
the unfair fate several jokes god played on her, she faced them calmly ,
instead of choosing a negative attitude to face her life.
Jane, with a strong personality ,is a simple, couple hardness with softness,
independent, positive women. She has risen from humble origins and her
appearance is ordinary, but she is not self-abased. She looks down on
arrogant and imperious officials, laughs at their stupid, show self-reliance
personality and good ideal. She has strong vitality and never bends to fate.
Now there are a lot of people who choose suicide even some choose to
even some people under unbearable pressure.Such people are sad, the
tragedy they caused is not his own but also his family. To be positive and
optimistic, it is the first revelation that Jane Eyre bring us .A most important one,
about love,we only has a life with the length of decades, after adulthood we are
all searching for love, but what is true love or when the real love appears in the
life, can we
abandon all the external factors including appearance, property,
family to follow our hearts？ When there are conflicts between the ideals
and the reality how should we choose .This is what choice life throw on us .
What Jane respond is wring water from a flint to most of us , this is the
reason why we love this book . she is the ideal myself in our minds.
To have the courage to break up the common customs and offend
dignitaries. She is more a group,a spirit advocated by most in a time than the
heroines in the novel.
Why Jane Eyre did not die after a short time , the
reason is that the quality and spirit she has will never be out of fashion.
