tendencies. They may offer negative
opinions.
The learner is beginning to show
consideration of others feelings and
opinions. They are learning to become
active listeners and with guidance may
offer an opinion to emotional issues and
needs.
The learner is unaware of how their
words and actions affect others and
frequently puts self interest first.
They have difficulty listening actively
and are not competent negotiators.
They will share their own ideas but
show little interest in others ideas.
They find compromise difficult. They
can be cooperative on their own terms.
The learner is developing an awareness
of how their words and actions affect
others. They are learning to be active
listeners and participators. They are
learning to cooperate in groups, to
share their own ideas and accept
others ideas. They are beginning to
ask appropriate questions.
The learner has developed and is
beginning to use with emerging
confidence the skills required for a
variety of roles. They will participate
in familiar contexts independently and
unfamiliar contexts with support.
The learner is able to relate to and is
considerate of others feelings and
opinions. They are active listeners.
They may independently offer an
opinion to emotional issues and needs.

are growing up. They are active
listeners and are able to share their
ideas confidently. They are beginning
to develop negotiating and reasoning
skills. They work cooperatively in
groups and endeavour to be positive.
The learner seeks out and is able to
interact and communicate positively
with a diverse range of people. They
are respectful and open minded to
ideas, beliefs and practises that are
different to their own.
The learner is willing, skilled and
articulate in assuming a variety of roles
in a range of familiar and unfamiliar
contexts. They have the ability to
adapt and be versatile depending on
the situation.
The learner has compassion and is

opinions. They are active listeners with
a high level of sensitivity and
enthusiasm. They can offer an

and needs.

sound foundations of how to

though negotiation, sharing ideas,
