Persona – an imagined speaker
In this poem Jim Hall takes on the persona of Peter Parker aka Spiderman.
In the poem the persona has a couple of twists:
1)
Hates his suit, tired of doing his everyday role.
2)
Has a speech issue.
Poem’s theme: each of us is who we are, and none of us can burn our identities.
