the Holocaust.
2.) What is Bettelheim’s opinion of her? Five examples.
“She was a gentle person that didn’t deserve her fate.”

“She was smart because she went into hiding.”
“Realizing the full measure of danger to their lives.”
Tone – Sympathetic, sarcastic, sad, admiring, amazed.
Purpose – To show that it didn’t happen the way everyone thinks.
