Introduction
Argyll and Clyde
Alzheimer Scotland provides a wide range of
services for people with dementia and their
carers. Our services provide help such as day
care, home support, befriending and
information. We also have a network of
branches which work locally to raise
awareness and to improve the position of
people with dementia and their carers. In
many towns and cities our services and
branches run regular carer support groups, at
which carers and relatives can exchange
experiences, learn new information and
benefit from mutual support.

change things locally and campaign. Having

Helensburgh).

Scottish Dementia Working Group
(SDWG)
SDWG is a group run by people with dementia
and funded by Comic Relief and Alzheimer
Scotland. It operates independently as a
national involvement group for people with
dementia within Alzheimer Scotland.
Membership is open to people with dementia.
The purpose of the Working Group is to
campaign to improve services for people with
dementia and to improve attitudes towards
people with dementia.
Enquiries are welcome from, or on behalf of,
individuals from anywhere in Scotland who are
interested in becoming involved.
