Maturity Essay

Period 1
Juno a sixteen year old girl goes threw mature and immature stages.
She abruptly finds out that she is pregnant and doesn’t want to believe it.
She first makes sure that she is actually pregnant. The results turn out that it
is true and she knows she can’t take care of a child at her age and looks
around for an adoption family. She looks threw newspapers and magazines
with her sister trying to find the best family that they can find. They finally
found a family and felly confident that it is the right family.
Sometimes, time feels faster than it really is. When this accurse all
decisions made are messed up or wrong. But luckily for Juno, she makes a
lot of good mature decisions that benefit her and her family. An example
would be letting the baby get adopted instead of aborting it. She was mature
enough to sign contracts with the family she thinks will be the best family to
take care of a baby that she thinks she can’t take care of. These are two
good decisions she made for her baby to live a good prosperous life.
Physical growth of the brain is big. It can change everything in an
instant. It can also make one person completely different. The brain can
make you the smartest person or the dumbest person. This is all possible
because of your brain. But also in your teenage year also can be a factor of
being smart. During your teenage years your brain is the most vulnerable.
This time threw puberty in your Pre-Frontal Cortex of the brain, there is an
over production of cells that is developing the brain. All scientists know is
that in the whom and during your teenage years of puberty are the only times
your brain will have this over production. Everyone knows the brain is
vulnerable but during this extra growth one mistake can change your brain
and make your brains ability to get bigger and smarter less prone to happen.
The Pre-Frontal Cortex is a big part of the brain for teenagers. It is
the part of the brain that is having a lot of growth and is were the brain
changes its mind and makes judgments. Since this part of the brain isn’t
fully developed, most teenagers think they are invincible or unstoppable. As
an adult this is important but as a teenager this is passed by. An example of
acting invincible is skateboarding without a helmet and not doing all safety
procedures while cooking or during unsafe actions.
One thing to help
teenagers is music and sports can help keep their brain active and working to
prosper. Even video games sometimes help the brain.
Ones integrity affects ones maturity because you think a certain way
and when being honest and being realistic get passed by you loose your
mature state. In the movie Juno there were multiple spots of having integrity
and other without integrity. Like Bleaker letting Juno get mad at him but he
also didn’t let it get worse. Another example is Juno still letting Vanessa
have the child even when Mark left her. This shows great integrity which in
turn makes her mature. When people are mature especially in the movie
Juno the more they are appreciated and their life is also better when being
honest and mature.
The perspectives of adults and kids are completely different. Being
mature can be normal for an adult but for kids that’s a challenge. Juno did in
fact do some mature things that adults sometimes can’t even do.
For
example still giving Vanessa her child because Juno saw that Vanessa
needed a child to make her life whole on happy. Juno know she didn’t she
still had time as a teenager to be happy and have fun. I for example have
done a few mature things in my life like helping my Uncle. I helped him out
be watching his two kids while he was extremely sick. It was about four
hours I watched them until my Aunt came to take over. The hardest part of
that for me was that watching one six year old and one three year old. I
showed a lot of maturity making sure they didn’t destroy anything with two
very active kids.
