My favorite singer Faye Wong
Faye Wong (born 8 August 1969) is a Chinese singer-songwriter and actress, who is usually
referred to in the media as a diva.
She was born in Beijing, she moved to British Hong Kong in 1987 and came to public attention in
the early 1990s by singing ballads in Cantonese.
Faye Wong is my favorite singer. I started to like her since I was in elementary school when I first
listen her song “ let’s meet in 1998”.
She had been popular for about 15 years. A lot of people like her because she has a fabulous
voice, it doesn’t like the human voice but the angel. She’s so popular and keep for a amazing long time
not only because she is pretty, but also she has a really good music and the great lyrics.
I like a lot of her songs. But my favorite one is this --- The Sky

This just a part of this song. I’d rather call these lyrics poem but not the song. It tells us a sad
story but it will not make the listener feel sad. It just will make the listener think about a lot of good
memories when they are young.
Some lyric can tell us some truth about the life, some lyric can show us the beauty of love , the
beauty of life. But Faye Wong’s song sometimes just tell a sad story about life, just tell us some feeling
of her. And I think that’s the real feeling of human and usually resonate me. In my opinion, the
function of a good song is just make people feel relax. A great song can influence a people’s mood.
To sum up, Faye Wong is a singer who deliver the true feelings to the listeners in her songs, and
Faye Wong just tell us the true feelings of her life. She never make a fuss about an imaginary illness in
her songs just like the other singers does. And that’s why she could be popular for over 15 years and
that’s why I love her so much.
