(for completing the portfolio required by the internship at Manhattan College)
This template has been designed to help you produce the internship portfolio. It lists all
the content needed in the portfolio. You will find information, suggestions, helps throughout the
body of this template that will guide you as you go along.
DUE for REVIEW at the FIRST VISIT: Knowing this helps you see that, as you go along
in your course work, you can be creating parts of your portfolio.


Course Related Leadership Activities (you completed CRLAs in each course and
you have signed logs from the instructors of leadership, management, law,
curriculum, assessment, supervision.
The Table of Contents on the next page lets you know the content needed in your
internship Portfolio. You can treat the portfolio like a jigsaw puzzle. That is, as you collect your
artifacts, and complete assignments in courses, you can add to the portfolio. This document can
serve as a large container. When it is time to submit, you will have selected from among all your
artifacts, those that reveal the most about your leadership – your growth, your accomplishments,
the responsibilities you accepted and the effect of fulfilling your responsibilities.

Chronological Logs of Internship Activities (33 points)
You will log daily the time spent doing internship activities identifying each point. The
originals log with mentor signature is to be submitted separately for the file; copies are included
in the portfolio.

Cumulative (Summary) Log of Internship Activities
At the conclusion of the internship, the log is sorted so that the time spent on each of the
internship categories is given. The log for each of the categories is submitted separately for the
file and a copy is in the portfolio.
Evidence of Internship Activities
Be sure to include evidence about the use and integration of technology. Evidence is
needed for each category in the form of artifacts that represent growth, or competence, or
accomplishment, or leadership roles you assumed. Evidence of accomplishment rather than
participating is preferred.
Chronological Reflective Journals
You will reflect daily, (weekly at most) on the activities of the internship. The
chronological reflection will be submitted twice a month for review. The chronological
reflections are submitted separately for the file and copies of are included in the portfolio.)
Summary Reflections
A separate reflection of learnings for each category is done at the end of the internship.
The reflections for each category are also submitted separately for the file and copies are
included in the portfolio.
Reports of College Supervisory Visit
Three reports indicating previous experience, plans for the next visit, personal
learning planned for the conclusion of the internship; includes evidence of caring leadership. a
multicultural perspective, and the ability to learn how to learn (original submitted to College
Supervisor; copy in portfolio). A form is provided

8. Concluding Reflection
In this section, you will write your growth statement – where did you start, how far have
you come. Using your Personal Learning Plan from each course, indicate which of your plans
have been realized, which you still need to include, and which plans, now that you have had the
leadership experience, you realize still have to be made. Reflect on the totality of your program,
what essentials of leadership have become important to you. Use the content of the Program
Completion Survey to guide your reflection

PreGraduation Survey
You will summarize your responses to the exit survey that you will have completed. This
may take the form of a 360° survey done for you by your colleagues and students. Indicate the
achievements your students have made because of your efforts.
Leadership Growth Reflection
