Before beginning, make copies of the addition cards Display the cards around the classroom – this can be turned into a treasure hunt to make it more exciting. Issue children with a clipboard, a record sheet to match the colour of cards they are to use, and pencil. While playing Christmas music/soundscape, have pupils search for the cards. Count the two sets of items and record the totals on their grid.
