This is a basic skill that is used in daily life as well as in your child’s school years. Being able to analyze numbers based on their being odd or even is something your child will use in the following years, such as when deciding if a number is divisible by a certain digit and when finding a pattern in a set of numbers. Math in the Home, on the Go, and for the Fun of It — DIRECTIONS: Read through the Is It Odd or Even? reference sheet with your parent or guardian. Add two more odd numbers to the circle and two more even numbers to the triangle. Then have fun with the board game 100 Wins! For an extra challenge, if you or your parent or guardian moves to the wrong space, that person needs to move back 3 spaces! Talk about It — After you have finished the activity, turn to The Back Page to show what you know. Now go have some fun with the activity!
