You should know that any number ending with these digits are also odd or even.
Tips for Parents/Carers
The secret to success is practicing little and often. Use time wisely. Can you practice
these facts while walking to school or on a car journey? You don’t need to practice
them all at once; perhaps you could have a fact of the day. If you would like more
ideas then please let me know.
Use practical resources- even numbers come in pairs so can be worked out by
getting a number of objects and see if you can pair them up. If there is an odd one
out then it is an odd number.
Make a poster- Make a poster to explain which numbers are odd or even.
Learn a rhyme- Mr Odd says 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, I love odd numbers all the time. Mr Even
says 0, 2, 4, 6, and 8, even numbers they are great!
