Modern Methods of Construction Statement of Support
Sheffield City Council is committed to the delivery of high quality and
affordable low carbon homes, quickly, efficiently and economically through
traditional and modern methods of construction.
The City Council fully supports the recommendations of the Modern Methods
of Construction Task Force which enables developers to:


submit proposals for delivering housing schemes using MMC on
Council owned development sites, where appropriate to the individual
site and:
where the system being proposed has been assessed and confirmed
as suitable for housing by an independent approvals authority, has a
life expectancy of 60 years and is capable of achieving the necessary
Building Regulations and Statutory approvals.
