IARSLCE Graduate Student Scholarships

The International Association for Research on Service Learning and Community Engagement would like to
announce a Call for Nominations for Graduate Student Scholarships. Ten recipients will each receive $500 to
support participation at the 2013 IARSLCE Conference in Omaha, NE. One of the ten scholarships will be
specifically for an international graduate student based outside the USA. Checks will be awarded at the
conference.
Please note that scholarships are only available to IARSLCE members. Applicants may register for
membership in conjunction with submission of the scholarship application. Membership is included in
IARSLCE conference registration, and the membership period runs conference to conference. Therefore, 2012

If you are receiving support for attendance at the conference through other sources(scholarships, grants,
awards) please indicate the source and amount.
A single-spaced statement not to exceed 500 words that clearly: 1) identifies a research agenda,
including a description of design for a research study; 2) addresses how attendance at the conference
will benefit the applicant’s research and graduate education; and 3) identifies how the applicant has been
or is currently involved with service-learning and/or community engagement
Graduate Student Scholarships are due by May 24, 2013. Scholarship recipients will be notified in early
July.
