The approval holder shall: 1. 2. Insurance (a) The permit holder shall take out, and maintain during the currency of the permit, in the name of the permit holder a policy of insurance to the value of at least $10,000,000 against liability for property damage which may arise or could be held to arise from any act allowed by the permit. (b) The policy cannot be cancelled without notice to Council. (c) The policy has an annual expiry date of June 30. Road Safety Act Ensure that the provisions of the Road Safety Act and all regulations made thereunder complied with at all times. 3. Road Management Act Ensure that the provisions of the Road Management Act 2004 and all regulations made thereunder are complied with at all times. 4. The movement of livestock to and from grazing areas shall comply with General Local Law No. 7 2005. 5. The grazing of livestock on roads shall only be permitted in daylight hours between the hours of sunrise and sunset. 6. Responsible Person Ensure a minimum of one responsible person shall be in attendance and supervise the livestock at all operative times. 7. Damage to Roadway, Road Reserve and Native Flora Ensure there is no damage caused to: (a) the roadway; (b) any native flora; (c) the road reserve; Council shall set such conditions in the approval as they consider appropriate to protect and avoid such damage. 8. Permission Required Grazing on roadsides adjacent to a property owned by a person other than the permit holder shall require the written permission from that person. 9. Livestock grazing shall only be permitted on the roads stated on the permit. 10. No bull shall be permitted to graze on any road. 11. Fences Grazing animals shall be controlled by a temporary fence constructed and maintained to the requirements of Council. 12. Permit A grazing permit shall be issued for a period of 3 months or a lesser period if stated on the permit. 13. Traffic Warning Devices (a) Ensure that all signs, poles and other warning devices required by this Local Law, this Code of Practice or any other legislation are properly installed and maintained. (b) Any illegal or incorrect signage may be removed by Council at the cost of the approval holder. (c) Ensure all signs, poles and other warning devices shall be removed by the approval holder at the expiration of the approval or as required by Legislation. 14. The maximum number of animals for which a livestock grazing permit will be issued shall be determined by Council. 15. Compliance with the Livestock Code of Practice.
