The 25,000 sq. ft. manor & plantation were built after the success of his Milky Way candy bar. The Manor boasts 20 bedrooms and 14 bathrooms, and a dining room table that seats 40 people. Employing over 900 workers during the Depression, it is a wonderful piece of Southern history. After the tour at the Milky Way Farm, we will travel to historic Lynnville to see the Railroad Museum, a vintage passenger coach of a restored 98 ton 2-6-2 Prairie type steam locomotive built by Baldwin in 1927. Visit Colonel Littleton’s impressive retail store, maker of fine leather crafted items made in Lynnville, Tennessee and sold worldwide. If you did not have lunch at Milky Way, you can step back in time with a meal at Soda Pop Junction. The building was built in 1860 and was used as L.E. Moore Drug Store from 1928-1978. The building still has the original Pharmacy made from oak and the original 1950’s soda fountain. There you can get home cook meals, Tennessee’s #1 Hamburger and Tennessee’s #2 Milk shakes as seen on National Television on Tennessee Crossroads.
