below are being accepted until April 15th. If you wish to be considered for more than one
scholarship, please check the appropriate boxes on this form. Applications are due April 15,
2016 in the Environmental Programs office: Chemistry, Bldg. 20, Room 124.

The following scholarships are available to Northern Arizona University undergraduates
pursuing degrees in Environmental Science or Environmental & Sustainability Studies (majors
or minors).
Environmental Fund for a Sustainable Future Scholarship
Amount of award varies - Approximately $1,500 per semester
The Environmental Fund for a Sustainable Future Scholarship provides funding for junior and
senior Environmental Sciences or Studies majors currently enrolled full-time and in good
standing with NAU. Selection for this award is based on the following criteria:
 Clear, demonstrated activism or research outside the classroom in environmental
preservation, protection, and restoration
 Potential to make significant contributions to environmental sciences and/or politics
 Financial need
 Academic performance
 Interest in and contributions to northern Arizona environmental issues
Lisa Marie Jones Memorial Scholarship
Amount of Award Varies: Approximately $500 per semester
The Lisa Marie Jones Memorial Scholarship provides funding for junior and senior
Environmental Sciences or Studies majors currently enrolled full-time and in good standing
with NAU. Selection for this award is based on the following criteria:
 GPA of 2.5 or above
 Arizona Resident
 Documented financial need
Bill Morrall Conservation Scholarship
Amount of Award Varies: Approximately $500 per semester (requires unique application and reference
forms)
The Bill Morrall Conservation Scholarship was established in 1983 by the Arizona Wildlife
Federation to honor the memory of Bill Morrall. Bill was actively involved in the work of the
foundationand conservation issues important to Northern Arizona. Past recipients may apply.
Selection for this award is based on the following criteria:
 U.S. citizen
 Undergraduate or graduate
 Enrolled in conservation related studies.

 Dr. Rod Parnell is the NAU representative for the Morris K. Udall Scholarship, a highly
competitive national scholarship. For more information, go to www.udall.gov.
 The Morey-Vaughn Award is offered through the Department of Politics and
International Affairs and will support one student traveling to Washington DC and
