District Governor Biographies
District Governor 2015-2016 -- Terry Weaver
During his 35+ years in Rotary, Terry has been a member of the Rotary Clubs of St. Louis, Milwaukee,
Atlanta and Greenville, four of the 100 largest Rotary clubs in the world.
Terry is a Major Donor, Paul Harris Society Member, Benefactor & Bequest Society member. He provides
the IT and Website support for District 7750.
Terry is an active promoter of entrepreneurship, and has served on Technology advisory boards of
Kansas State University, Furman University, University of South Carolina Upstate, Greenville Technical
College and the United Way of Greenville County.
He is an Electrical Engineering graduate of Kansas State University, a Professional Engineer, and a
member of the K-State Engineering Hall of Fame.
Terry owns Delta Resource Group, a business coaching practice, helping business owners increase
value, sustainability and satisfaction with their businesses. He has owned and operated two other small
businesses - Chief Executive Boards International and Metaprise Consulting.
A veteran of 22 years in large corporations, Terry has run businesses ranging in size from 2 employees to
10,000. He has started two businesses, sold two and bought one. He is married to Pam, the District
Administrator, and they celebrated their 40th anniversary in 2012 with a trip to Thailand and Vietnam,
including the RI Convention in Bangkok. The Weavers have 2 grown children:
Janelle – MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Business. BS from Duke
University. Married to Colin Duthie, living in Chicago with son Campbell, 5 and daughter Charlotte,

Scott – BS Engineering from Vanderbilt University. Lives and works in Atlanta. Married to Katie,
with 2 sons, Owen 3, and Jay, 1.

District Governor Elect 2015-2016 -- Lance Young
Lance Young has been a Rotarian since 2004 and is currently a member of the Greenville Evening Club.
He served as President of the Rotary Club of Clemson in 2010-11. Currently he is serving as the District
Governor Nominee and Assistant Governor of Area One. Lance is also on the District Finance and
Budget Committee and is leading the new Grow Rotary Action Team. He is a Multiple Paul Harris Fellow,
Benefactor, Bequest Society member and Paul Harris Society member.
Lance retired from teaching at Clemson University in 2014. He taught and advised students in the
College of Business and Behavioral Science. He also developed a Creative Inquiry course offering
students the opportunities to learn how to record, interview and catalog military veterans’ combat and
service experiences. With a fellow faculty colleague, Lance developed a study abroad trip to Normandy
which offers students the opportunity to trace the journey of WWII American soldiers in France. Lance is
a member of and serves as the Vice Chairman for the Clemson Corps Board at Clemson University.
Lance retired from the U.S. Air Force at the rank of Colonel after serving for over 29 years. His last
assignment was at Clemson University as the Department Chair and Professor of Aerospace Studies and
U.S. Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps Detachment Commander. Prior to his assignment to
Clemson, Lance served as the Commander, 81st Mission Support Group, Keesler AFB in Biloxi, MS,
where he commanded 2,000 personnel in providing base support, logistics and service activities for
78,000 military, civilian, dependents and retirees. Other assignments included: U.S. Special Operations
Command; U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado; Aide-de-Camp to the Deputy Commander-in-Chief
European Command, Stuttgart, Germany; and Air Battle Manager onboard the Airborne Warning and
Control (AWACS) E-3 Aircraft.
Lance is married to Dr. Lenna Corley Young, Vice President for Academic Affairs at Greenville Technical
College, Greenville, SC.

District Governor Nominee 2015-2016 -- Ed Irick
Ed Irick will serve as District Governor in 2017-18. Ed joined Rotary in 2003 as a charter member of the
Rotary Club of Greenville Evening. He served as Club President in 2006-2007. From 2009 to 2013, Ed
served as Assistant Governor for Area 12. He serves as Chair of the District Early Act First Knight
Program and as Chair of the District Foundation Grants. He has also served as a member of the
Greenville Metro Membership Committee and an advisor to an Interact Club.
He is a graduate of all three sections of the Rotary Leadership Institute. He is a multiple Paul Harris
Fellow, a Sustaining Member, a Benefactor & Bequest Society member.
Ed retired as a Colonel after serving 30 years in the United States Army as a Field Artilleryman. During his
military career he served in a variety of command and staff assignments. He commanded artillery units
through the brigade level. His last assignments were in Washington, DC where he commanded the
Army's Operational Evaluation Command and later served as Chief of Inspections for the Army's
Inspector General. After retirement Ed worked for a Defense Contractor for several years. He has a BS
Degree from Clemson University and a Masters of Public Administration from Shippensburg University.
He is also a graduate of the US Army War College.
Ed is an Elder in the Presbyterian Church (USA) and currently serves as a member of the Foothills
Presbytery's Committee on Ministry. He and his wife Carol are weekly volunteers for Meals on Wheels.
Ed and Carol have been married for 43 years. They have 3 children and 6 grandchildren:
Allison - Married to Chad Van Iddekinge living in Tallahassee, FL with son Aiden and daughter Gretchen.
Caroline - Married to Thomas Lee living in Carrboro, NC with sons Madoc and Jack.
Edward - Married to Ellen living in Greenville, SC with daughter Lorelei and son Evan.
